Q: Who are these lessons for?

A: I teach both adults and children. Because of my extensive background, I can help anyone from young children learning their first English words to business professionals looking to advance their careers.

Q: Where do the lessons take place?

A: You can choose the method that suits you best:

• Online: Globally via secure video calls (like Microsoft Teams and Google Meet).

• Face-to-Face: In-person lessons are available in central France, specifically within the 23600, Boussac area.

Q: How long is each lesson?

A: Every standard private lesson lasts exactly one hour. This ensures we have enough time to introduce new language skills, practice speaking, and review your progress without rushing.

Q: When do the lessons take place?

A: Lessons are scheduled around you wherever possible, and where availability allows. Please contact me, using the contact form, to discuss current availability.

Q: Do you have experience with learning differences like ADHD or Autism (ASC)?

A: Yes. I am a qualified UK teacher and former school leader with over 15 years of experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I design calm, highly structured, multi-sensory lessons that match exactly how your or your child's brain learns best.

Q: What is Phonics, and can adults learn it?

A: Phonics is a proven method that connects English letters to their actual sounds. It is highly effective for young children learning to read, but it is also an incredible tool for adult beginners who want to build perfect British pronunciation and accurate spelling from day one.

Payments & Bookings

Q: Do you offer a trial lesson?

A: Yes! I offer a special 1-hour introductory lesson for free across all pathways. This gives us a chance to meet, assess your current English level, and plan your learning pathway risk-free.

Q: How can I view your rates, and do you offer discounts?

A: You can view full pricing details on my Costings Page. I offer clear hourly rates for each pathway and discounted block bookings if you choose to purchase 5 or 10 lessons in advance. Please use my Contact Page to enquire about up-to-date offers for these.

Q: How do I get started?

A: Simply head over to my Contact Page and fill out the short form. Let me know your current goals, and I will get back to you within 24 hours to schedule your first session.

Q: Do you travel to students for face-to-face lessons in La Creuse?

A: Yes, I can travel to your home or office for in-person lessons, provided you live within a 20-minute drive from Boussac (23600). To cover fuel and travel time, a small travel fee may be added to your lesson cost depending on your exact location. I will let you know what this will be in advance.

Q: What if I live further than 20 minutes from Boussac?

A: If you live outside of my 20-minute travel radius, you are very welcome to travel to me for your face-to-face lessons in Boussac. Alternatively, you can choose my highly interactive online lessons, which allow you to learn from the comfort of your own home anywhere in the world.

Q: How do I join the online lessons?

A: Learning online with me is simple, secure, and requires no complicated software setups. By default, I use Google Meet for our interactive sessions—all you need to do is click a secure link sent to your email, and your lesson will open instantly in your web browser. If you are enrolled in a Business English Course and prefer to use Microsoft Teams to match your workplace environment, simply let me know and I will happily set up our virtual classroom there instead. 

Group Lessons

Q: What happens if I miss a week?

A: Because group lessons move forward on a fixed weekly schedule, we cannot offer make-up sessions or individual refunds for missed classes. However, I will always send you the complete lesson notes and digital resources via email so you can easily catch up before the next session.

Q: How many people will be in my group?

A: To make sure everyone gets plenty of personal attention and speaking practice, groups are strictly limited to a maximum of 6 students. I need a minimum of 2 students to launch a new group block.

Q: How do I know my language level fits the group?

A: Before your first group session, we will have a quick, informal chat online or over the phone. This ensures you are placed in a group with learners who share the exact same experience and goals as you.

Q: Can my partner or friend join the same group as me?

A: Yes, absolutely! Learning with a partner or friend is a fantastic way to practice outside of class. Just mention their name when you fill out the contact form so I can book your spaces together.

Q: Do I need to buy any text books for the group lessons?

A: No books are required. All professional lesson plans, worksheets, and digital training materials are fully included in your €12 hourly rate and provided to you each week.
